She has expertise in the areas of individual reputation management for politicians, sports and entertainment celebrities across Canada and the U.S. On the corporate side, Deborah has successfully executed national campaigns for some of North America’s best known brands in the pharma, lifestyle, hospitality, tourism, transportation and airline business. Deborah’s passion is creating successful media relations campaigns that receive national attention. She also knows how to keep them out of the news cycle when necessary too.
Deborah is also in demand for media and spokesperson training. As an experienced on-camera spokesperson and crisis and reputation management expert, who has appeared on television and on radio many times herself, she has more than 20 years of public relations and marketing communications experience in training CEO’s and senior executives on presentation skills and media interview skills She has advised a diverse range of communicators - from Hollywood celebrities, Canadian entertainers, and comedians, politicians, Olympic and elite athletes and some of Canada’s top CEO’s and entrepreneurs..
Deborah has been featured regularly for over 10 years in the media and interviewed as an expert in media relations and reputation management for The National Post, CBC TV, City News, The Calgary Herald, Yahoo Canada!, Rogers Television, Inside Toronto, The Toronto Star, NewsTalk 1010 AM and CBC Radio.
Actively engaged in social media and website development for her clients since 2006, Deborah has a team of experts with her partners at Logograph Inc. who create successful strategies that engage in social media, incorporate social media into their websites, their personal image and their brand.
Deborah is a part time Professor at Centennial College teaching a course in Arts Marketing and most recently in the public relations and corporate communications department in Media Metrics and Measurement at the Story Arts Campus and at the Pickering Learning Centre.
She has a Specialist Bachelor’s Degree in Arts Administration from the University of Toronto, is a graduate of the Young Artists Program at Tanglewood (Boston University) and has been trained at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto in classical music. She has a post graduate diploma in Marketing and Fundraising from George Brown College in Toronto.
She has been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Toronto for 13 years and has held several executive positions in the Club including Vice President, Secretary and President. Currently, she is the Lieutenant Governor for District 9 Kiwanis Clubs.
